Peggy Brouse, Ph.D.

Dr. Brouse is an Associate
Professor in the Systems Engineering and Operations Research Department. She
has taught undergraduate courses in Database Management and is currently
teaching graduate classes in Requirements Engineering, Decision Support,
Process Improvement and Cost Modeling. She also is teaching Ph.D. classes in
Requirements Engineering.
In addition, Dr. Brouse is
Director of the Center for Systems Engineering Technologies. In this
capacity, she is conducting research in systems engineering, requirements
engineering, group decision support systems, multimedia, cost modeling, and
process improvement. The laboratory is concerned with the application of
multimedia and hyper media technologies to the requirements analysis phase of
the life cycle.
Dr. Brouse is the principal
investigator on several ongoing projects with the Department of
Transportation, the Department of Energy, Virginia Department of
Transportation and Motorola Corporation.
She received her Ph.D. in
Information Technology from George Mason University (1992). She has a Masters of
Business Administration from Marymount University (1986), a Bachelor of Science,
Information Technology/Computer Science, American University (1978), and a Certificate in
Computer Science from the U.S. Army Computer Systems Command Intern Program,
1975.
